Steve Slater and Mr. Robert Babarich, the Wautoma High School civics teacher who graciously offered to incorporate the subjects relevant to the Americanism and Government Scholarship program in his curriculum, receive awards from Wayne Winter, Post 317 Americanism Programs Chairman.

Congratulations to all the students at Amherst High School, Nekoosa High School, Shawano Community High School, Wautoma High School, Wild Rose High School and Wittenberg Birnamwood High School who participated in the 2010 Americanism and Government Scholarship Program.  A special thank you to all the hard working Legionnaires who contacted their local high schools and presented this special program to the faculty and administration.  Your effort made this program a success and provided Ian and Steve with a proud opportunity to be recognized for their superior knowledge of civics, government and our flag code.
